Maria Cinta Bladé Segarra (1958-2019), was Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Rovira i Virgili University. Promoter of the Interuniversity Master's in Nutrition and Metabolism, her research focused on the effects of phenolic compounds on metabolic syndrome and circadian and seasonal rhythms, from a nutrigenomic perspective. Author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters, she directed a dozen doctoral theses and was head of the Nutrigenomics research group.
