The PhD student Lisard Iglesias talk about polyphenols in Pint of Scince
In the context of the international festival of scientific divulgation "Pint of Science", Lisard Iglesias Carres, a PhD student of Nutrigenomics Research Group from the URV, realised a talk entitled "Polyphenols for me: yesterday, today and tomorrow" about which factors can modulate how phenolic compounds are metabolized. For example, the health status, the gender or the age of the consumer affect significantly to how these natural compounds are transformed. These studies, framed in the research lines of the Nutrigenomics Research Group, allow to relate how these changes can affect to the beneficial effects of the consumption of phenolic compounds.
